Old Maps

Old Maps is an app that gives you access to high-quality ancient maps from virtually any region of the world. To find the map you want, you can use the search box to enter the name of any city or country, or you can explore the map freely as you would in Google Maps.

In total, Old Maps has more than 250,000 high-resolution maps from between the fifteenth and twentieth century. Meaning, they're not simple JPG images that you'd find with a quick Google search. Instead, you have high-resolution maps of remarkably good quality.

Old Maps is a great app, especially for history or geography students. Many of the maps included in the app are historically relevant, and you'll find it especially interesting to explore ancient maps for the region where you live.
